If you are looking for more in-depth training, you may want to consider the option of a full-day course that covers the RYA Powerboat Level 1 syllabus as well as the Spanish Boat License. In this extra training, which usually takes place in the afternoon right after your Boat License course, you will learn about navigation charts and how to operate marine VHF radios. We’ll send you details with your Boat License course confirmation.
With this additional training, you can also proceed to complete the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course in just one additional day, rather than the usual two days. This accelerated path is an excellent opportunity to advance your skills quickly and efficiently.

What is the Spanish Boat License?
The Spanish Boat License is the entry-level qualification for boating in Spain. With no formal exam required, it is easier to obtain than the more advanced qualifications which involve testing by Spanish authorities. This license permits you to drive powerboats up to 6 meters in length, within 2 nautical miles from the coast, and during daylight hours, ideal for newcomers to boating looking to explore coastal waters safely.
This is the only Spanish boating qualification that you can take in a language other than Spanish.
Are there age restrictions for the course?
Participants must be at least 16 years old. Those under 18 require a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
Do I need prior boating experience?
No previous boating experience is necessary. Our course is designed for beginners and covers all foundational skills.
Does the course include practical training sessions?
Yes, the course includes 4 hours of practical, on-the-water training, essential for hands-on learning.
